1. Using HomeSummo
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use HomeSummo.
Account
You're responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity under your account.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Provide false information
- Use the service for illegal purposes
- Attempt to access other users' accounts
- Interfere with or disrupt the service
- Scrape or collect data without permission
2. Summit AI
Summit is an AI assistant designed to help you organize home improvement projects. Summit provides general guidance and estimates based on available information.
Important
- Summit's recommendations are informational, not professional advice
- Cost estimates are approximate ranges, not quotes
- Always verify information with qualified professionals
- Summit may make mistakes—you are responsible for decisions about your home
3. Vendor Connections
When you request a vendor match, we connect you with third-party service providers.
- HomeSummo is not a contractor or home improvement company
- We do not guarantee vendor work quality, pricing, or availability
- Contracts and agreements are between you and the vendor
- We are not responsible for disputes between you and vendors
- We vet vendors but cannot guarantee their performance
4. Your Content
You retain ownership of content you upload (photos, notes, project details).
By uploading, you grant HomeSummo a license to:
- Store and display your content to provide the service
- Process your content through AI systems
- Create anonymized, aggregated data for product improvement
You're responsible for ensuring you have rights to content you upload.
5. Subscription and Payment
Free Tier
1 property, 2 active projects, no payment required.
Paid Tiers
Billed monthly. Cancel anytime. No refunds for partial months.
We may change pricing with 30 days notice.
6. Intellectual Property
HomeSummo, Summit, and associated branding are our trademarks. The service, design, and underlying technology are our intellectual property.
You may not copy, modify, or reverse engineer any part of the service.
7. Disclaimers
HomeSummo is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
We do not guarantee:
- Accuracy of AI recommendations or estimates
- Continuous, uninterrupted service
- That the service will meet your specific needs
- Results from vendor connections
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, HomeSummo's liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding any claim.
We are not liable for:
- Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- Loss of data or profits
- Actions of third-party vendors
- Decisions you make based on Summit's recommendations
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
You may delete your account at any time from your dashboard.
Upon termination, your right to use the service ends, but these terms survive where applicable.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. We'll notify you of material changes.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Idaho. Disputes will be resolved in courts located in Kootenai County, Idaho.
